Sri Lanka: a wedding and arrival in Galle

We’re in Sri Lanka. It’s been an amazing weekend. After arriving in Colombo on Friday, we headed south to Ahungalla to attend a wedding where Persian and Sri Lankan customs came together for a magical marriage ceremony.

This morning, we drove south to Galle and are staying in a guest house inside the ramparts of the old Dutch fort. Here’s a taste of the afternoon thus far, including a trip to the railway station to arrange a seat on the Colombo-Kandy observation train on Wednesday. It promises to be the best $5.00 we’ve ever spent on a train ride.
