A coyote welcomed us to Montana after we crossed the border from Canada. Coyotes are camera shy. Either that, or I missed the shot because I was still musing on the Fay Wray Fountain adorned with the gorilla cutout spotted earlier in Cardston.
Montana from the inside of a car is mountains and plains, cattle and sheep grazing, oil rigs and wind farms, undulating hills and water bird reserves. It’s poor cell phone coverage and massive power lines. It’s big blue skies and salt pan marshes, farms and cowboys, and open highways.
